Tuesday at Math Camp

July 21
Day two at math camp was just as busy as day one.
First, the famous scientist we learned about was Ada Byron Lovelace. Lovelace was the daughter of the famous poet Lord Byron. At age 8 Lovelace was gifted at building model boats and at 13 she designed a flying machine. Lovelace died in 1852 from cancer and unnecessary bloodletting by her doctors.
Then we used Algebra Tiles to solve equations. Then  we learned about Pascals triangle and polygons and polyhedra. Then we did more polynomiography. We also had a guest speaker named Catherine Miller-Hunt.  We also learned about platonic solids. Well I'm looking forward to tomorrow.
