The last day of math camp is coming to an end. The famous female mathematician for today was Maryan Mirzakhani. Maryan was born in Tehran, Iran in May 1977. She had some problems with math in middle school but in high school she was on a Math Olympiad and in 1944 and 1955 she won gold medals. Maryan earned a PhD in Mathematics from Harvard. She was the first woman to win the Fields Medal. She received this award in 2014. We then learned some Math Magic tricks. Through out the day we learned about fractals, and other really cool things. I'm sorry to say that this will be my last post. It has been a fun week but I'm ready to be back at home with my family.
Thanks For Reading!
